In the wave of Australian Tech House talent that’s been hitting The Myth Of NYX, we can’t forget the one and only Ben Miller! After previously releasing his absolute tune ‘Intro To The Anthem’, he’s back for another round of percussion & vocal stabs with his latest creation: ‘Close To Me’. From down under, to African-inspired drums, tropical steelpan sounds & piano chords, this track is taking you across the globe, while still being more than suitable to play from the comfort of your own speaker system!
We are beyond excited that London-based artist Sammy Porter is making his debut with The Myth Of NYX! His latest showpiece: ‘Inta Outta’ has all the ingredients for an anthem to your next night out. With shows at established venues known in the London club scene, such as E1, Ministry of Sound, and Electric Brixton under his belt, you just know Sammy Porter is bringing some insane heat with every piece of music he touches. This time It’s no different with ‘Inta Outta’ having the words ‘smashing, belting, and grooving’ written all over it.
BURNR is making his entry on The Myth Of NYX with his track ‘The Middle’. The Dutch native has been pumping out releases after launching his debut single ‘Move’ a year ago, and there’s no way he’ll stop releasing banging tunes any time soon. Grooves mightier than Zeus, and stabs more clever than Athena make sure ‘The Middle’ stays interesting no matter how many spins you give it. BURNR’s signature west-coast synth sounds make for something that sounds clean and fresh, while feeling oddly familiar, taking us straight back to the virtual streets of San Andreas.
In 2022, Tech House has been heavily inspired by the warm and groovy sounds of Latin America. Are you ready for a new addition to this intoxicating genre? We sure are, with the new tune by Niko The Kid, Ssol & Zen World: ‘Dale’! With over 40 supports on his latest NYX release ‘Still Near’, Niko The Kid is no newbie to the genre. Next to this, you might know Zen World from his famous production videos, sound banks, and sample packs. Lastly, we’re throwing Ssol into the mix, who has released 11 tracks so far this year, launching tunes at high velocity. With snappy vocal lines, groovy toms, and rich guitar riffs, ‘Dale’ is definitely a track to look out for!
Heavyweight collaboration incoming! Direct from the Southern Hemisphere is the monster team-up of two of Australia’s finest tech house acts, namely Tom Budin & Dave Winnel with the turbo-charged ‘Supersonic’. Budin continues to create waves, racking up a #1 Billboard track together with Luciana entitled ‘X With You’ and returns to NYX to follow up ‘F.U.N’ which gained over 1 million Spotify streams. He’s linked up with Winnel, who is also no stranger to the label, releasing numerous times with us including the banging ‘1993’. With remix credits for David Guetta and Hardwell to name a few plus a huge Armin van Buuren collaboration, it’s fair to say the mastermind has worked with some of the biggest names in the game. ‘Supersonic’ does exactly what it says on the tin, an auditory assault of crisp percussive claps, techy synthesizer stabs and accelerated bass rumbling. Jump on this one with haste and slap ‘Supersonic’ in your track selection to increase the tempo of any playlist
Thomas Newson and Hollaphonic are returning to Mount Olympus for their godly Myth Of NYX tune: ‘Feel This Way’! Dutch native Thomas Newson has plenty of experience in the dance scene, with this track being his fifth release on the label, and his previous Myth Of NYX tunes amassing 5 Million Spotify Streams. Next to this, he’s reached an incredible #30 spot in 1001tracklists’ top 101 producer list. For ‘Feel This Way’ he’s teaming up with British power duo Hollaphonic. These Tech House champions have been playing shows all over the world, opening shows for David Guetta, Tiësto & Robin Schulz among others. It is therefore no shock that their tune ‘Feel This Way’ together is an instant banger. Incorporating groovy sounds, as well as fresh wobbly synths, this track was just made for the dancefloor, and we can’t wait to blast it at full volume!
The Myth Of NYX. The Greek goddess of the night. A shadowy figure her appearances are sparse in surviving mythology but reveal her as a figure of such exceptional power and beauty that she is feared by Zeus himself. If the myths about NYX are true this Greek goddess was unmatched in the realm of Olympian celebrations.
This essence of the night is something The Myth Of NYX embodies – pushing the deeper, darker sounds of the house sphere – crafting releases which resonate under the radar of tech house whilst pushing the genre forwards in a manner that the gods look upon with fondness. We exert power through the shadows, craft melodic touches in the darkness and harness the strength and beauty that the goddess NYX personifies.
As the gods are now looking down upon us with joy, we’ll announce the next banquet soon. For the time being, check out when we last rejoiced with at our ADE celebrations from 2021. We’ll have more gifts from the gods to come this year as well, so stay tuned for more updates coming your way of when we’ll offer the best in tech house to the deities.
